Had the pleasure of seeing and meeting chris barber when he played at Nantwich jazz festival one year. As i said to him as we bought a couple of cds from him personally at the stall during the interval. Never saw the best gigs as they were done before i was born, or at least 3 or 4 years after i was born. But he was so approachable, friendly,chatty, it was like meeting your favourite uncle. He said, oh you want that one, and he signed it. I still have it.

She just kills it in every genre she chose to perform.

Here's a fun story for you jazz lovers out there. During the late 60's Chris played here in Bristol at a well known jazz pub. He went to his hotel after he played and they said he was too late. So my aunty took him in for the night and he slept on her couch.

Superb voice and the band, lucky the performance is kept for posterity, wonder if Nelson Riddle was with her in Japan?

This beautiful song is about me. My name is Anita and I know Vince Gill, we met each other in 1975. This man is my HERO! I was headed toward disaster, hanging out with the wrong crowd and doing things that I shouldn't be doing. He got me out of the mess and darkness I was in at the time. I really don't think I would be here today if it wasn't for Vince. I thank God for him every day! I had the chance to marry him, but I chose someone else. That was a big mistake on my part. We haven't seen each other in forty four years and I would love to see him again. He told me he would write some songs for me and that he would find me again when the time was right. God tells me the time is getting close and I feel very blessed. Take care and God Bless You!

Absolutely one of my favorite songs and performances. I think I was a junior in H.S. when this came out and I think I wore the album out. I was either listening to classic Led Zeppelin or this. Strange combo but her voice and the music were perfect for each other 😍
